Devotional Reflection
Loving things, especially ones that won't last, can get us into a lot of trouble. Even worse, we can start to think that they will make us happy or fill the empty places in our hearts. But if we really put our hopes and dreams in our Abba Father, we are connected to eternity and always have what we need most.
Prayer
Holy God, grant me the wisdom I need to invest in You and in important things. I'll be the first to admit that flashy, transient things frequently catch my eyes and my heart off guard. Father, make my heart yearn for You by Your Spirit. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
Give me wisdom, Holy God, to invest in You and important things. I admit that the glittery stuff that is fleeting frequently draws my eyes and emotions away. O Father, stimulate my heart to long for You through Your Spirit. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
