1 John 2:27 · KJV
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."

Devotional Reflection
When we became Christians, the Holy Spirit did more than just cleanse us. He also filled us with His presence. John says that this is what makes us holy. The Spirit helps us hear the truth about Jesus and keeps us from giving up that truth to false teachings that would make Jesus less like God or less like us. When we hold on to both of these amazing facts, we stay in Jesus.
Prayer
Thank you, Holy and Righteous Father, for sending Jesus to save me. May I never lose my sense of wonder or my deep gratitude for everything Jesus was, is, and will be. Thank you for sending me your Spirit to help me keep the truth about your Son and my Savior safe. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
