Devotional Reflection
The fact that the Holy Spirit lives in us is proof that we are truly God's children. The Spirit helps us show what kind of person God is (Galatians 5:22). When we pray, the Spirit helps us (Romans 8:26-27). Romans 8:13 says that the Spirit gives us the power to fight sin and the strength to do things we never thought we could do (Ephesians 3:14-21). The Spirit comforts us when we're hurting and shows us that God is with us (John 14:15-26). The Spirit is the best proof that we belong to God (Romans 8:9; Romans 8:14-16). God is good to give us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit also helps us in many other important ways as God's children. Father, I praise You for being holy, powerful, and majestic. I'm grateful for Your kindness. Your love, which saved me, has made me feel small. But today, dear Father, I'm most grateful for Your Holy Spirit, who lives in me and gives me strength, cleanses me, comforts me, and makes Your fatherhood real to me. Countless thanks.
