Passage Context

22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

When the seasons change, the leaves fall, and the grass dies, we are reminded of how fleeting our lives are. Our deepest needs can only be addressed by God's everlasting and established will in Scripture, in spite of the rapid advancement of technology. Scripture is now available on a variety of devices, including mobile devices and old family Bibles. Aren't you in need of a dose of the eternal today?

Prayer

O God, I am continually reminded as I get older that my time on earth is temporary and that You rule in heaven forever. As I seek Your will in Your Word, please give me a sense of where I stand before You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer

God, as I get older, I am always reminded that my time on earth is short and that You will rule for all time in heaven. Give me a sense of who I am before You as I read Your Word and seek Your will. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
