Devotional Reflection

LoveGratitude

For what reason is it so challenging to express our gratitude to God for the people in our lives? God made His love and approval for His Son Jesus known. Recall what He said when Jesus was baptized and transfigured: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Additionally, the apostle Paul made it known that he was tirelessly praying for the struggling churches he established (cf. Philippians 1:3). It's a wonderful gift to give God gratitude for a particular person in our lives. Informing those people that we have thanked God for their presence in our lives is a double blessing. Let us strive to live today as "double blessing" people!

Prayer

Merciful Father, thank you for all of your blessings! But now, I'm especially conscious of all the wonderful ways you've blessed me through other people. Thank you for bringing the following wonderful Christians into my life: (insert the names of particular persons here; be sure to let them know I've thanked God for them). Please keep them safe, bolster them, and make use of them to help others just as they have blessed me. I offer up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
