King James Version
What does 1 Thessalonians 4:12 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
What are your goals? I'm not sure whether this applies to you, but I don't think I could state that my goal is to "enjoy a peaceful life." However, after hearing the justification for that instruction, I understand it. With all their "busyness," so many individuals I see are stressed, worn out, and fatigued. In order to live a life that earns the respect of those around us, let's resolve to slow down a bit, trust God more and more every day, and work toward doing so!
Prayer
I need your assistance, O dear and holy Father, to learn how to calm down and take care of my own obligations rather than race about aimlessly and out of control. Please give me the knowledge I've been asking for, as well as the calmness and patience necessary for my heart and mind to be changed by that wisdom. In Jesus' name, I ask it. Amen.
Reflection Questions
How do my actions reflect my faith to those around me?
What does it mean for me to walk honestly in my daily life?
When have I felt challenged to maintain my integrity in front of others?

Consider how your behavior can serve as a testimony to others about your faith.
