Devotional Reflection
What do you have that will last always? Most of what we own falls apart, breaks, or wears out quickly. But God, our Christian friends, and our praise of God are things that will last forever. These will always be.
Prayer
God, I eagerly await the day of Your upcoming spectacular surprise. I lean forward with the angels as I watch the clouds for my Lord and Your Son's glorious return and the welcome and respect He merits. Even though I can only see that day by faith now, I still give You praise for it. Please know that until I see You on that day, my heart's desire is to serve You, even when my weakness prevents me from doing so as fully as I ought to. I extend my sincere gratitude and acclaim to You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
What do you have that is eternal? Most of what we have falls apart, breaks, or wears out quickly. But three things last forever: God, Christian friends, and our thanks to God. These are timeless.
Prayer
God, I can't wait for the day when You surprise me again. I stand on my tiptoes with the angels and look to the clouds to see my Lord and Your Son come back in glory and receive the welcome and respect He deserves. Even though I can't see it yet, I praise You for that day. Until I see You on that day, please know that my heart's desire is to serve You, even when my weaknesses keep me from doing it as well as I should. I thank and praise You from the bottom of my heart. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
