Devotional Reflection
Where do you keep your heart? These verses are all about that. It's about where our hearts spend the most time. Are you always aware of God's presence in your life? Is He the invisible friend who is always with you through all your ups and downs? Or does God only show up when it's convenient and disappear when things are busy or when we think everything is fine? We can be happy when we know we are never alone. Prayer is the ongoing talk we have from spirit to Spirit, from child to Abba to God. Thanksgiving and happiness are great ways to remind us that we are blessed, no matter what it looks like on the outside.
Prayer
Dear Holy and Righteous Father, I appreciate Your constant presence. Give me a more profound understanding of and appreciation for Your presence today. May the joy You have given me by saving me by grace be reflected in my life. And may my love always find a place to call You home. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Now, hold on a second. I don't always have good luck. Some of my friends have left me when I was in the worst shape. How can I ALWAYS be happy? "Keep it simple, my child," my dad tells me. "First of all, joy is more than just feeling happy all the time. Joy is a deep, long-lasting sense of being in God's grace and purpose. Second, your life is going to glory, my glory, no matter where you are or how hopeless things may seem." In light of this amazing truth, everything else seems boring, out of touch, and meaningless.
Prayer
O LORD, please help me understand Your glory and victory better. Please give my faith the strength to believe the truth about how You conquered hell. Please give me Your Spirit and make my life bear Your fruit. Please make me joyful to praise You for everything You've done for me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Want to know what you can do to make God happy? Celebrate His goodness. Pray for people. Give thanks for what you have. It's something He just wants us to do.
Prayer
Heavenly Father and All-Powerful God, I am so excited to be Your child. Abba Father, please hear my prayer because I'm worried about a few people today. God, thank You so much for all the good things You give me every day. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
