Devotional Reflection

No matter how strong, revered, or significant they may be, we don't need anyone else to speak to God on our behalf. We are free to go wherever we please as His children because we are confident that God has provided the ideal channel for communication. Only that mediator represents us before God as the head of the Church and the Chief Priest. Our Lord, Savior, and brother is Jesus Christ.

Prayer

You are my God, and I thank you for giving me such easy access to You. I am aware that if it were up to me, I wouldn't have the courage or righteousness to approach You. But because of Your grace, You also provided a mediator for my approach to You in addition to a ransom for my sin. Jesus, I also appreciate what You did in paying the price and remaining by the Father's side to speak and intercede on my behalf. I am grateful to Jesus for bringing this prayer before the Father. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

We don't need another person, no matter how powerful, holy, or important they are, to talk to God on our behalf. As His children, we can go to Him directly because we know that God has made the perfect way for us to communicate with Him. The only mediator is the head of the Church and the Chief Priest on our behalf before God. Christ Jesus is our Lord, our Savior, and our brother.

Prayer

O God, you are my God, and I thank you for making it so easy to talk to you. I know that if I were on my own, I wouldn't be strong or righteous enough to come to you. Still, because of your grace, you not only paid for my sin, but you also gave me a way to talk to you. Jesus, I also thank you for paying the price and staying by the Father's side so you could pray for me and speak on my behalf. Jesus, thank you for telling the Father about this prayer when I pray in your name. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
