Devotional Reflection
Be diligent!" These days, you don't hear that phrase very often. We would like things to be easy. In the world of fake religion, sweating is looked down upon. Paul wanted Timothy (and us) to know, though, that growing up in Christ takes real work. Having a good effect on other people is hard work. God's power changes things, but we also have to do our part. God tells us that this work will not only help us get to heaven, but it will also help other people get there as well.
Prayer
Abba Father, please give me confidence, courage, hard work, and determination so that the salvation You have given me can be shared with others through my life, my teaching, and my example. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
