Passage Context

3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Devotional Reflection

LoveJoyPeaceGratitudeHopeCompassionAweContentment

Our message is not about ourselves. Jesus is the King. One day, everyone and everything will praise and honor Him. But for the people around us to praise Jesus now, they need to see Him alive in us. In Jesus' name, we help other people. We are His body. We are His compassionate hands, His merciful heart, and His gentle voice. So let's make Jesus known, not just by telling people about Him, but also by serving others as if we were Jesus in the world.

Prayer

God of grace, I am grateful for the opportunity to spread Your love to others. I'm grateful that You saved me from my sin. I'm grateful that You saved me so I could serve You and bless others with the love of Jesus. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
