Devotional Reflection

From where did the Bible come? What makes us think that the Gospel and the Bible are true? Peter wants us to know that the ancient prophets did not come up with their own secret ways to predict the future. Instead, they couldn't move or talk on their own. They could only move and speak in response to what God was doing inside them. Even though they were just people, the Holy Spirit told them what to say and how to say it. The message they brought was God's word. So, the Bible's prophetic books are even more valuable because they contain God's own words. Think about 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
