Devotional Reflection
David was made fun of for dancing and being so happy when the Ark of the Covenant came back home. He did not let the criticism stop him, though. When the Ark came back, there was a party. His God was the only one who was real and alive. His God had helped him beat dangerous enemies time and time again. His God had kept His people alive through a long history of challenges, oppression, wandering, and fighting. David was sure He would, and he was happy to be able to celebrate in front of the Lord. We should, right?
Prayer
Lord God Almighty, You are my joy, my hope, and my future. You are powerful and holy, full of grace and mercy. I am happy because You are the One and only One who deserves all glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
