King James Version
What does 2 Timothy 1:12 mean? โPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
Near the end of his life, Paul was in a lot of trouble, and many of the people he had led to Christ left him. But he was sure that the Lord would not leave him alone. He had made Jesus the Lord of his life, and that Lord would make sure that Paul's efforts wouldn't go to waste. The Lord took care of his life, his future, and his eternal fate. Paul was sure that the Lord would also protect him. He was confident that Jesus would come back on a day that only God knew, and that everyone would bow down. Paul's faith in the Lord would be joyfully proven true.
Prayer
Almighty God, I believe in You, but please strengthen my faith so that no matter what I have to go through, my trust in You stays strong and my hope stays alive. I give You everything I am and everything I want to be, knowing that You will get me through whatever comes next and bring me joyfully into Your presence. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
