Devotional Reflection

GratitudeCompassionDoubtShame

A Christian buddy who regularly helps others is a beautiful gift that will make you feel better. However, as humans, we have a propensity to be untrustworthy friends. We're there for them when they need us, but we become bored of being there while they're recuperating from sickness, loss, or the consequences of sin or addiction. Do you know someone who is still in some way connected to the past? Is it God's will for you to bless this individual right now? What about blessing them as often and openly as Onesiphorus blessed Paul?

Prayer

Give me sight to perceive your beautiful ones around me who need the consolation of your grace, which can only be felt through the touch of a loving Christian sibling or brother. Please use the power of your Holy Spirit to empower me to be a more dependable source of refreshment for these people. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
