Devotional Reflection

Everything changed when Jesus rose from the dead. The women who stayed true to Him through His death on the cross and His resurrection are there, praying in obedience. As we might have guessed, Jesus' mother is also there praying. But if you look closely, you will see that Jesus' brothers, who once doubted and made fun of Him, are now praying for the Holy Spirit to come and give their risen brother power. They are waiting, but they are not just standing around. Yes, they pray, but they also look forward to the great work that the resurrected Jesus will do through them. When people who love the risen Jesus pray with hope, God does wonderful things. So, why don't you just do it? Join a group of people who love Jesus and pray with the hope that God will use you to do His work.

Prayer

My Almighty and All-powerful God, please bless my efforts in encouraging others to join me in ardent prayer. Please bring revival among those who call upon Your name and stir up those who are hungry but unaware of their need for Jesus. We pray that You will bring revival to Your people and a flood of grace to those who need to know Jesus as their Savior. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
