Passage Context

6When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Devotional Reflection

The most profound truths can occasionally be the simplest. God's might through the Holy Spirit, God's strategy of starting where we are and expanding to the world, and our desire to share with others what God has done for us in Jesus give us the ability to reach the entire world for Christ.

Prayer

Father of all people, fill us with your mighty Holy Spirit, give us the ability to effectively share our faith, and inspire us to take the Gospel to our city, our area, and the whole globe. Father, I still have faith that you want to accomplish in our time what was accomplished long before. Glorify your name. Lift up your holiness in the sight of all. Use me and the rest of your people to carry out your desire to spread the grace-filled message to every nation. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

God has a plan for spreading His grace around the world. We start from where we are and try to help the people around us. Then, we tell people in our area the story of Jesus. After that, we go out into the world and spread the gospel. We trust that the Holy Spirit's power and presence will go with us when we allow ourselves to be used.

Prayer

Father, use me to bring Your grace to the people around me. Bless our church as we tell people about Jesus in our area. Father, I also want You to bless our work to reach out to people all over the world. Please use us to carry out Your plan to spread the message of Jesus to every country. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
