King James Version
What does Acts 13:39 mean? βPassage Context
37But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

The Law wasn't able to do it. Sacrifices couldn't do it. Piety wasn't enough. Religion wouldn't be able to do it. Jesus is the only one who can fully forgive sins. Jesus is the only one who can make us completely good and holy. He is the way to forgiveness and right living.
Prayer
Holy and Righteous Father, All-Powerful God, I confess that Your Son, Jesus Christ, is my Savior and Lord. I'm grateful that Jesus is my Lord and that He paid for my sins. I ask You, Holy Spirit, to help me become more like Jesus in character and kindness. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
