Devotional Reflection

LoveJoyPeaceGratitudeHopeCompassionAwe

Faith in Jesus is the best way to respond to God's grace, and it can change your whole life. For the jailer, faith meant hearing the message that Jesus was Lord and responding by believing it, getting baptized right away, showing a change in his life, and getting together with other Christians (cf. Acts 2:42-47). Imagine going from being in charge of men in jail to washing their wounds in your own home. Imagine being in charge of putting men in jail and then having them baptize you and your family the same night. Imagine putting men in chains who would later share a meal with you at your table. God is amazing, isn't He? His grace is hard to describe, isn't it? We shouldn't be surprised that we're happy when lost people really believe. Life never stays the same.
