Peter and the other apostles said that Jesus was Lord, even though the ruling council in Jerusalem, called the Sanhedrin, told them not to. They knew that Jesus had triumphed over His enemies, who had tried to kill Him and end His ministry. The apostles disobeyed the orders of the same people who put Jesus on the cross. Any way you look at it, that's bravery. How do you fare in the battle to "stand up for Jesus?
