Devotional Reflection

LoveJoyPeaceGratitudeHopeCompassionAweContentment

God gives us many gifts, but one of the most valuable is His presence in us through the Holy Spirit. Because of the Spirit, we are God's house (1 Corinthians 6:19). When we pray, the Spirit speaks for us based on what God wants (Romans 8:26-27). The Spirit helps us fight against our flesh (Romans 8:13-14). The Spirit strengthens us on the inside (Ephesians 3:16). In other words, the Spirit is working to make us more like Jesus. Let's thank God for sending the Holy Spirit to live inside us.

Prayer

Father, I'm so grateful for Your Holy Spirit, who is praying for me right now as I pray. Please help me to stay strong through Your Spirit as I try to live a holy life for You. Dear Father, I really want You to change me through Your Spirit so that I'm more like Your Son in character and kindness. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
