King James Version
What does Colossians 1:18 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
Jesus is the leader and head of His church, and He is still alive. No man has the right to do this. Jesus is the only one who has earned this place. Jesus is supreme. Even though it is right for Him to be in charge because He is God, He has earned it by what He has done for us. He was there before anything started, He made everything, and He was the one who went through death and won for us.
Prayer
Please take charge of your Church, your Body, Lord Jesus. Please exalt yourself in us, and fill the hearts of our leaders with your will. We are united and devoted to you, and we want the entire world to recognize your supremacy. Additionally, Holy God, may you exalt yourself in Jesus by way of the Church. All honor, glory, and praise, now and forevermore, be to you, Lord God, and to your Son, our Savior Jesus. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
