Devotional Reflection
You can't change, swap, or update everything. In a time when computer processors change a lot every few months and software companies release new versions every year, we are trained to look for the newest and best version of everything. Jesus is Lord. That's a simple but profound truth. No changes are needed. No rival is good enough. No need to change. In fact, if we don't use this as the foundation of our lives, we risk losing everything we care about. But if we keep going, if we keep growing, if we put down roots in this truth and make it the foundation of our lives, then our future is safe and we will win!
Prayer
Thank you, Holy God, for the clear, thought-provoking, and enduring truth of Jesus' lordship. I ask the Holy Spirit to work through me so that my life more closely reflects the Lord's lordship over my family, my job, and my daily influence. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Jesus is our center! He is the center of our lives. We shouldn't try to add to Jesus' truth. Instead, we should learn to trust it and accept it like a child. But that faith of a child needs to be fed and grown. As long as Jesus is the most important thing to us and we are thankful to God for His grace, we hope that our faith will grow and that Jesus will seem more real than ever.
Prayer
Please, Holy and Righteous God, open my eyes so I can see evil and stay away from it. Please give me the wisdom to know when I'm being taught something that isn't true. Give me the strength to live a holy, thankful life so I can live in Jesus for Your honor and glory. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
Holy God, I thank You for the truth that Jesus is Lord, which is simple, hard, and will last forever. I pray that You, Holy Spirit, will shape my life so that my work, my family, and my day-to-day influence show more of His lordship. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
