Devotional Reflection
A little corruption, a little poison, or a little rot are all oxymorons. Through Jesus, God has made us pure and whole. What a wonderful idea! Why would we want to ruin His goodness with bad things? Our Father wants us to give ourselves to Him and live as His holy people (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Pet. 1:13-16).
Prayer
God, you are holy and righteous. Please give me the strength to say no to temptation and run away from sin. Give me a stronger desire to treasure and protect the purity you gave me through Jesus' sacrifice. Give me a holy disgust for bad things and evil. Bring my heart closer to yours and make me want to be holy like you. Thank you for making me holy and important to you. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
