Devotional Reflection
It's easy to lose sight of what's essential when we're young and have a lot on our plates. We must allow the Lord to put our passions under His grace in those early days of excitement and frenetic delight so that we might be utilized for God's greater benefit. As we grow older, we discover that we can't accomplish things as well as we used to. This does not imply that life must be miserable. It simply means that we must determine what is most essential. We should have learned the lessons of faith as children so that we may be leaders, models, and mentors for those who come after us.
Prayer
Holy God, I pray for the young people in Your church. Help them find You so they may passionately and joyfully follow Jesus. May they have real, powerful, joyful, and prosperous faith! Prove to them Your superiority. In order to help them get through their older years, give them a strong sense of Your presence, triumph, and grace. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
