Devotional Reflection
God is incredibly merciful and generous. That makes us happy, doesn't it? I don't know about you, but I am aware that I have sinned, erred, and broken the law. Without God's mercy, I'd be lost in my sins (Romans 3:23-25). I couldn't live the life that God wants for me without His grace (Romans 5:6-11). God sent Jesus to demonstrate His love for us because He is merciful and gracious (1 John 4:9-10). As a result of His immense mercy and grace, I have since let go of my previous, sinful self. My future is now connected to Jesus', not to the one I earned (Colossians 2:12, 3:1-4).
Prayer
Thank you, Father of all grace and mercy. I appreciate You being God. Thank You for showing me mercy when I most needed it and for giving me grace when I did not deserve it. I'm grateful that You gave me life when I thought there was no hope for me. May I be rich in mercy and grace rather than in cash or gold. Help me to resemble You more. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
We have nothing to ask God for! We have no right to ask God to save us. We have nothing in us that can keep us alive. God's love is the only thing that can give us life, hope, and grace. We can only be saved by God's mercy. Sin puts us to sleep, and only God's gift of Christ can wake us up from that sleep.
Prayer
I was saved by your love, mercy, and grace, dear Father. How can I give you praise? Dear God, when you saved me, you showed how strong, holy, and powerful you are. What can I do to thank you for your kindness? Your faithfulness, patience, and persistence have touched my heart and given me life. How will I ever be able to tell you how much I love you? Thank you, Daddy, for everything you've done for me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
God is rich in kindness and gracious with grace! Isn't that amazing for us? I don't know about you, but I definitely know I have faults, inadequacies, sins, and offenses. Without God’s grace, I would be lost in my sins (Romans 3:23-25). Without His grace, I would be cut off from the life God longs for me to have (Romans 5:6-11). God moved on our behalf with His abundant mercy and generous kindness when He sent Jesus to show us His love (1 John 4:9-10). Now, because of His great compassion and lavish charity, I have died to that old sinful self. My existence is now attached to Jesus' destiny and not the one I earned (Colossians 2:12, 3:1-4).
Prayer
Thank you, Father of all grace and kindness. Thank you for being God, which is who You are. Thank you for being kind to me even though I didn't deserve it. Thank you for showing mercy to me when I needed it the most. Thank you for giving me life when I thought it was over and there was nothing I could do. May mercy and grace bring me much more wealth than money and gold. Help me be more like You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
