Devotional Reflection
Him who is Able to Do Immeasurably More" is my favorite name for God in the Bible. Our God is the same God who split the Red Sea and fed 5,000 people on a green hillside with just a couple of sardine sandwiches. He wants to do more than we can even think of or ask of Him. Unfortunately, most of us haven't given Him much of a challenge with our weak dreams and weak prayers. Let's dream big dreams for God, then hold on for a ride that is even better than we can imagine.
Prayer
Do today what You did yesterday, Almighty and Awesome God. Give us the ability to believe, then shock us with how limited our faith actually was. Give us the ability to see Your plan and have faith in Your desire to accomplish more. We ask for Your glory and the salvation of our world, not for our benefit or the benefit of our reputation. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Sometimes we can't do anything else but praise God. We may sometimes dream of doing great things for God and His Kingdom, but our dreams aren't as big as God's plans. Even if we have a lot of talent, influence, power, or money, these are just tools in God's hands, not signs that we are enough. "God is able" has to be one of the best and truest phrases in the Bible. This time, though, it's about what He did for you and me. He can do so much more through and in us than we think. What more can we say? Hallelujah!
Prayer
Dear Father, kindly assist me in understanding and carrying out Your will. At work and play, I want to serve as Your conduit for ministry, healing, blessings, and hope for the people nearby. Please make use of me today and always for Your glory. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
We have a lot more power than we usually think. That amazing power is working in us (cf. Ephesians 1:18-19). But this promise of power is tied to two chances God gives us every day. First, it is based on actively asking God to do great things based on a holy-charged imagination. Second, it depends on how we live to honor God. So let's ask, imagine, and give God glory. Then let's praise Him for doing things that are much bigger than what we ask or even imagine.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive my simple dreams, selfish prayers, and short-sighted goals. Use the power of Your Holy Spirit to wake up my heart to Your will and open my eyes to Your plans. Please do this for Your glory and praise, dear Father. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
What is your most important goal? God wants to do more through you than that! The real question is whether you will believe it, accept it, share it, and then give God the credit for it.
Prayer
God, You are wonderful, kind, and generous. You have shown Your grace to me in so many wonderful ways, both in my body and in my spirit. I praise You for Your faithfulness. I appreciate Your kindness. I hold Your name as a personal treasure and put it above all other names. Please be honored by what I say, what I do, what I have power over, and what I am. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
What lofty "Kingdom dreams" do you have for God's glory? What wonderful thoughts can you envision asking God to bring to fruition? What are your expectations of paradise with God? Now that you have stretched your mind, pushed your imagination, and filled up your expectations, are you ready for some down-to-earth truth direct from the marvel of heaven? God is able to accomplish considerably more than any of that. His power is at work in us to execute His magnificent will and achieve His everlasting purposes. So let us not set our expectations too high or our goals too low. Live for His glory and expect to see it at work in your life as a result.
Prayer
I beseech you, O LORD, God of the heavens and the earth, my Abba Father and loving Shepherd, to stir up in me a desire to dream greater visions and to hope for greater things than my earthly, self-centered mind is capable of conceiving. Give me amazement and eagerness as I live for Your glory. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
Do the same things you did in the past, Almighty and Awesome God. Give us the faith to believe, and then show us how small our faith was. Show us your plan and make us believe you want to do bigger things. We ask this not for ourselves or our reputations, but for your glory and the salvation of our world. In Jesus' precious name we pray. Amen.
