Devotional Reflection
When we become Christians, we are made new. Most of us, though, have times when our old ways of living come back and want to be seen. This means that we have to decide every day to be new for the rest of our lives. As we make that promise and try to follow the lordship of our Savior, we are promised the power of the Holy Spirit, which Paul talks about a lot in Ephesians. The Spirit's goal is to make us more like Christ as we grow up (Eph. 4:12β16; 2 Cor. 3:18).
Prayer
Almighty God and dear Heavenly Father, please bless me today as I try to live as a new person, cleansed, made holy, and given power by Your Spirit. Give me a fresh mind as I choose to leave behind my old habits and wants. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
