Devotional Reflection
When anger builds up, it's like a bomb waiting to go off. Sooner or later, frustrations that have been building up will explode, either in our own lives or in the lives of others. Jesus showed us how to forgive and make peace (Matthew 18). You have to deal with your anger. If we don't, the devil will use it to hurt us and those around us. Don't give him a chance to hurt you. He'll take a mile (1.61 km) if you give him an inch (2.54 cm).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me to feel anger at the things that anger you. Please help me use that anger in productive ways and make me hate evil. Please help me overcome my anger, especially if it's directed toward one of your children. Help me to forgive as you have forgiven me through the power of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
