King James Version
What does Ephesians 5:15 mean? โPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
Living quickly doesn't mean you have to live dangerously. It means living with holy abandon to honor God and with holy passion to make every moment count for righteousness. That means we have to be careful about the choices we make and use our time wisely as we live a different kind of life than the people around us because we follow Jesus.
Prayer
God, give me wisdom so I can choose and use my time in a way that honors You today and every day. Protect me from the deceiving ways of the evil one and help me use the time You give me each day in a holy and useful way. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
We are God's holy children, but we still need to know what time it is in our world. The evil one still has a lot of power over many people's hearts. God wants us to "redeem the time" by making the most of every chance we get to touch other people's lives with His grace, resist temptation, and defeat the evil one.
Prayer
Give me wisdom, LORD, so I can figure out how to use my time and influence in the best way. Open my eyes so I can see what the enemy is trying to get me to do. Give me the courage to stand up for You and the sense to know how to bless others in the best way based on their needs. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
