Devotional Reflection
Many of the difficult experiences we have in life are not random occurrences. Many of them were placed there by God. Satan, who is our enemy, is frequently the cause of our problems. He is constantly looking for the most effective means of convincing us to stop believing in the Lord and to sever our relationship with Him. By completely placing ourselves in the Lord's hands and employing His tools of war, we can defeat our adversary, who has already been defeated by Jesus on the cross.
Prayer
Help me, God, so that I can triumph over my adversary through the power of Your Spirit and bring honor and glory to my conquering Savior, who will one day return and carry me home in triumph. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
So often, we only think about the things we like, are good at, or are interested in doing. God wants us to use all of His spiritual weapons. He wants us to be disciplined and grow in areas where we are spiritually weak or don't find much excitement or interest. Our adversary is clever, and he will try to attack us where we are weak and open to attack. So, let's promise to work hard not just in the areas we like and are good at, but especially in the areas we are not.
Prayer
Father, help me to be strong in the places where I am most prone to sin or laziness. Open my eyes and help me see where I need to improve. Rekindle in me the desire to seek Your holiness with all my heart. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Many of the hard things we go through in life are not just accidents. God did not put many of them there. Satan, who is our enemy, is often the one who gives us trouble. He is always on the lookout for the best way to get us to give up on the Lord and our relationship with Him. We can defeat our enemy, who has already been humiliated by Jesus and the cross, by putting ourselves completely in the hands of the Lord and using His weapons of war.
Prayer
God, give me the strength I need to stand up to my enemy and win through the power of Your Spirit. This will bring honor and glory to my victorious Savior, who will come back one day and take me home in victory. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
