Passage Context

7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
11Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.

We all get tired sometimes. Ministry often makes people tired. When we want to help other people, we get tired. God's wonderful blessing, though, is that He will keep us going and keep us going strong. He does it with the help of a friend's kind words. He does this by being with us as the Holy Spirit. He does this by providing songs that uplift us. He does it with the help of the Bible and prayer. So, even if our bodies and minds are tired, let's not let our hands be idle. God's grace will help us do what He has called us to do if we serve with faithfulness, discipline, and honesty.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I have to admit that serving You and other people sometimes makes me tired and down. Please tell me, dear Father, when I haven't gotten enough sleep, exercised enough, or eaten well enough, and give me the strength I need to fix these things. When I don't take care of my spiritual needs, please gently correct me. I want to serve You, dear Father, in a good way for the rest of my life. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
