Devotional Reflection

LoveJoyPeaceGratitudeHopeContentment

We are different! God makes men and women so that they can help each other out. Each one reflects God's image. God wants a husband and wife to have their most important relationship with each other. Even though they still respect their parents, they now live with each other. They merge their two lives into one. In this situation of lifelong security, they get to know each other very well sexually and become "one flesh." This relationship should be enjoyed (Proverbs 5), protected (1 Thessalonians 4:3–8), and celebrated (Song of Solomon) for the rest of their lives (Matthew 19:6).

Prayer

Dear Holy and Powerful Father, may I live with honesty and purity in our sexually charged world today. I would appreciate Your Spirit and Your Word teaching, correcting, and convicting me as I endeavor to find the truth about my relationships and celebrate Your will for my sexuality. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
