Devotional Reflection

LoveGratitudeHopeCompassion

What do you do to welcome new neighbors to your community or apartment complex? How do you personally greet people at your church or Bible study group? When was the last time you welcomed a new member of your congregation to dinner or included them in a group of Christian friends? While some people have the gift of hospitality, we all need to be welcoming and open to strangers who come to Christian worship and fellowship. Make a weekly commitment to meet and greet one new person at church. We can make a big impact on the lives of individuals seeking the safety and grace of Jesus and His followers in a cold, impersonal world.

Prayer

Father, please help me, and please assist my congregation to be more open and friendly to persons who are new and who are visiting. Please use us to spread Your grace and offer them a Christian home. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
