Devotional Reflection
How often do you let God do major surgery on your spirit by using His Spirit to encourage, judge, motivate, convict, teach, and inspire you through the Word? Since most of us have access to such a powerful tool, let's not waste a single day by not letting God use His Word to change our hearts.
Prayer
My heart's desire is to do Your will, Almighty God. But I understand that I need to be fed by Your Word as it is revealed in Scripture more frequently. Give me courage and perseverance as I walk in Your ways through Your Word. Please use Your Spirit to empower me to make the necessary changes and to receive blessings and encouragement where I most need them. I rely on Your Word to guide me in the right direction as I turn to You. In the name of Your perfect Word, Jesus of Nazareth, I pray. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
What is the best thing to fix a broken heart? A heart bypass? Angioplasty? A heart made of plastic? A transplant? How about God's Word? You see, these other methods can help people's physical hearts a lot, but God's heart surgery tool is His Word. This sharp scalpel is both good for the body and good for the soul and spirit. So, how much of your heart are you willing to let God and His powerful heart-healing tool touch? When you read God's Word or hear God's message preached, why not ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand, apply, and live out what you are learning? Let's give the Great Physician our hearts so He can do His work in us.
Prayer
Holy God, I pray that when I read Your Bible and hear Your Word preached and taught, the Holy Spirit will enter my heart and convict me of sin, make me uncomfortable in areas where I need to grow, and stir me up to be more like Jesus. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer
Almighty God, all I want is to do what You want. But I know that I need to be fed more regularly by Your Word as it is written in the Bible. Through Your Word, give me the strength and consistency I need to walk with You. By way of Your Spirit, motivate me to change what needs to be changed and to be blessed and encouraged where I need it most. I come to You and trust that Your Word will show me how to live. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
