Passage Context

23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Devotional Reflection

LovePeaceGratitudeHope

Jesus did more for us than just die for us. He wasn't just brought up to die for us. No, as amazing as those gifts are, He gives us one more thing: until He comes to take us home to God, Jesus stays alive to ask God for grace on our behalf. Jesus is not only our Savior, but also our protector and brother at the side of the Father!

Prayer

Jesus, my dear Savior, how I love You. You made a supreme sacrifice for me. You compromised Your dignity to save me. To reassure me, You destroyed death. But today I am especially grateful and conscious of the fact that every prayer I offer and every action I take is being used by the Father to bless me. I'm grateful. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
