Devotional Reflection
When a young couple who loves each other is apart, they want to be back together. When a parent is away from his or her child for a long time, the parent misses the child very much. When a person who has been married for a long time can't be with their partner anymore because of illness, death, or divorce, their soul can ache to be with the person they have loved. Do you feel that your soul wants to be with God? Do you long to be with God at the end of each day and the beginning of the next? Let's recognize our hunger for God and not only feed it by spending time in His presence, but also tell Him how much we want, love, and need His presence in our lives.
Prayer
I really want to be in Your holy and righteous presence, Father. I know that You are the only place where I can find the part of my soul that I sometimes feel is missing. Please, dear Father, show up in my life today and be very real to me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
