Isaiah 40:30 Β· KJV

"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:"

King James Version

What does Isaiah 40:30 mean? β†’

Passage Context

28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

What do you do well? Is it just your age? ...your way of life? ...your sense? ...your friends? ...your experience? None of us can count on what we can do. The fragility of life and circumstances can affect health, wisdom, and wealth. Only the LORD can make sure we can make it through the unthinkable, do well in the everyday, and soar in good times. Let's call on the LORD, wait on Him, and rely on Him!

Prayer

O LORD, thank you for being there for me when things were hard. Thank you for making it possible for me to do things for you that I never thought I could do. Father, thank you for blessing me through all of life's everyday ups and downs. I need help and strength from you. I praise and thank you for everything good in my life. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
