Devotional Reflection
When life hits us, we wish we could go back to being kids. Then, maybe someone would care for us and keep us safe from our worries and fears. God's faithfulness comes to us again in the form of a promise in our confusing and chaotic world. God reaches down and takes our hands, like a loving parent would do with a scared child. He makes us feel better with His wise words, "Don't be afraid. I'm right next to you. I'll help you." Even when it seems like the LORD is far away, this promise can help us remember that we are never alone or forgotten (Hebrews 13:5-6; Romans 8:32-39).
Prayer
Please help me believe that You are there, Abba Father, whose presence and help are always close by. I'll admit that there have been times in my life when You seemed far away and I felt alone. Please let me know through Your Spirit that You are close and care about me. Please show Yourself to me when I'm struggling and having doubts. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
