Passage Context

6I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

God is already there, no matter what happens in the next few days, months, or years. He isn't limited by either space or time. He makes things happen with His strong words. Some people may be afraid of what they don't know, but Christians can take comfort in the fact that wherever we are, God is already there. He is already working to save us and set us free. Even right now, He's telling us new things about our future that we can't see. So, as we go into a future we don't know, let's go with the One for whom the future is known.

Prayer

Thank you, God! You know where my world and life are going. With the start of a new year and the passing of time causing so much trouble, I know and trust that my future is in Your hands. I wouldn't want it to be anywhere else! Please give me faith and take away my worries as I watch Your future unfold before me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
