Devotional Reflection
When the black dirt gets smaller, it leaves deep cracks in the ground. All of the grass turns yellow, then brown, and then dies. A tiny breeze makes dust swirl over the empty land. When the rain finally comes, the dry land drinks up a lot of water as it runs off the wet surface and into the deep cracks caused by the drought. The ground gets bigger, the grass grows back, and life returns. God's Holy Spirit pours out His blessings, brings times of refreshment, and fills our thirsty hearts in a spiritual desert.
Prayer
Thank you, Father, for all the gifts you have given me. You are kind and generous. Most of all, dear Father, I want to thank you for the gift of your presence, your strength, your grace, and the refreshing that your Holy Spirit has given me. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
