Isaiah 51:6 Β· KJV
"Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished."

Devotional Reflection
Honestly, I find the Bible to be so brutally honest that it hurts! It is our belief that our planet has been around for a long time and that it will continue to do so for a long time to come. There is a promise from God that suffering will not last forever! Our lives are even more ephemeral than those of flies, living for only a short period before disappearing. Not completely lost, though! Because Christians have been caught up in Christ's eternal redemption and God's eternal righteousness, they have simply left the transient life of Earth.
Prayer
Thank you for the assurance that my relationship with You as a Christian transcends the boundaries of death, the constraints of my humanity, and the weaknesses of my flesh, O Righteous Father who hears my prayers and fortifies me for the journey. Thank You that because of Jesus, You see me as Your righteous and holy child and that I am connected to You and Your salvation. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
