King James Version
What does Isaiah 6:1 mean? βPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
We often believe that since adversity or a crisis is so difficult, it must be evil. However, difficult times may also be an opportunity for our hearts to reflect on God's goodness and splendor, as well as how much we depend on Him. Israel and Isaiah had a lot to deal with as a result of Uzziah's death, but Isaiah also had an opportunity to see God in a new light and receive a specific assignment from Him. How can God utilize your issues, difficulties, and struggles? Why don't you just ask Him to demonstrate?
Prayer
Holy God, I confess that it's difficult for me to go on when things are challenging. I sometimes ponder your whereabouts and your reasons for disregarding me. Dear Father, I am aware that you are there in my heart. But sometimes, O God, it's difficult for me to maintain my faith when I can't hear your voice or see you directly. So that I might be more receptive to you and better equipped to serve you, kindly pour your Holy Spirit into my heart and assist me in "seeing" you in a new manner. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
