Devotional Reflection
Who is truly wise can be seen by how loving and humble they are. People are often proud, but the Lord considers them worse than foolish; He thinks they are woefully ignorant. Wisdom is not about showing off how much you know, but about how you live your life. Which do you most resemble in your walk with Jesus: a wise person who lives in a humble, loving way, or a smart aleck who feels superior and is arrogant?
Prayer
I am aware that you have been a loving and wise Father to me, dear Shepherd. Please assist me in showing the person who needs care the most today the kindness you have shown me. Please keep me from being cocky and thinking I'm better than everyone else, and gently humble me in ways that will make me a more effective tool in your hands. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Wisdom isn't shown by how much we know from books, how smart we are, or how proud we are. No, true wisdom comes from living a godly life with humility and good deeds.
Prayer
O Father, make me wise like Jesus. Please help me understand Your will better and follow it with more kindness and humility. May the words I say and the things I do please You and show others Your grace. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
