Devotional Reflection
God's message didn't just stay in a book, a scroll, or a prophecy. Praise God! This Word, this Message, became flesh and blood and bones! Praise the Most High God! This Message, this Word, did not stay far away, holy, and hard to get to. God of Israel, praise the LORD! He took on human form and brought us love, hope, redemption, mercy, salvation, joy, and more.
Prayer
God Most High, I praise and honor Your name more than any other name. Your love is greater than all of our oceans put together. Your kindness is more vast than the expanse of space we know about. Your kindness cannot be measured. Your salvation is more wonderful than anything else. Thank You for giving me all of these things through Jesus, who came to our world and lived here so I could live in Yours. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
Jesus is what God wants to say. It wasn't a message in a book, a dream, or something only a few people could see on a mountain. No, God's message came in the form of a living person. The message from God came to us and lived with us. He went through our troubles, got our dirt between His toes, felt our disappointments, fought against our temptations, took our betrayals, and shed His blood. But in our world, God's message brought us more than just the truth. By God's grace, it saved us from death.
Prayer
Thank you, All-Powerful God, for speaking through Your prophets in the past. Thank you for giving us Your Bible through godly men. Thank you for how the convicting work of the Holy Spirit makes the preaching of Your Word powerful today. May You tell me the truth about each of these things. Most of all, Father, I praise You for how clear, deep, and easy to understand Your message is in Jesus. Because of Jesus, I know that You love me, that You've forgiven me, and that we'll be together in heaven. Thank You so much from the bottom of my heart, and I hope that my gratitude shows in the way I live my life. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
