Devotional Reflection

Jesus is the best message from God. He doesn't just talk about God's love, mercy, and grace; He has also made them known. Jesus is the only one who can fully show us who God is because He is the same as the Father. When we read the Gospels and "see" Jesus doing His work, we see God. If we want to know how God feels about us, we only need to watch how Jesus helps other people. If we want to know what God would do for us, we can look at what Jesus does to help other people. Jesus is our way into the heart of the Father. So, as this year comes to a close and you stand in the glow of Christmas, why not make a promise to spend more time with Jesus in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) in the coming year? If you do, you'll know God better!

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for making Jesus' life and work a window into Your heart. Please bless me as I try to get to know You better by learning more about Jesus and following Him with all my heart. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
