Devotional Reflection
There Jesus was. He was there when God made the world. But He did more than just see Creation happen; He made it happen! Jesus, who took on human form and died a horrible, painful death on the cross, was there at the beginning as the Word, speaking the world into existence. He made it. He owns it. Still, He came and gave His life to save it. He came to save you and me, to be more specific. So, when the Bible tells us how to live in a way that pleases God, don't you think we should listen? Even better, don't you think that we should do it?
Prayer
Holy Father, your plan to save me is so grand that it makes me feel small. It's more amazing than I can fully understand that you would send Jesus, the Word who made the world I know. It's hard for me to comprehend why He would let Himself be confined to the world He had made. It breaks my heart that He would die for me so I could live with You. Please help me as I try to live my life according to what He taught and what You want me to do. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
