What does John 13:21 mean? โPassage Context
Devotional Reflection
I can still recall what my friend said in church one Sunday: "We judge old Judas harshly for betraying the Lord for 30 pieces of silver, but how often do we betray Him for nothing?" Ouch! Jesus' knowledge that one of His own would betray Him is what makes this so difficult for us to endure. Let us make every effort and invoke God's power so that such betrayal never occurs among us! And if it ever does, let us run toward His grace with a sincere desire to flee from sin and return to Him.
Prayer
Jesus, I am sorry for the times when my rebellion and neglect broke Your heart. Father, I am sorry for my lack of passion and zeal for the sacrifice of Your Son, which saved me from sin and death. I desire to live with greater vigor for Jesus so that others may see and come to know Him. I pray in His holy and precious name. Amen.
