Devotional Reflection

HopeFear

It terrifies me to read this verse. It serves as a reminder that many people simply stopped following Jesus when things became difficult to comprehend. This is not only because of the three numbers in the reference, but also because it is interesting due to the three numbers in the reference. Having dispelled their preconceived notions of religious matters and confronted them with their motivations, they left the meeting. In the event that things become difficult in my discipleship and I am unable to figure out why they are occurring, what will I do? With hope, prayer, and faith, I will continue to follow until the Lord's path becomes clearer.

Prayer

You are an awesome God, and I freely admit that I am incapable of even beginning to comprehend the complexity of Your will and the manner in which You operate in our world. Nevertheless, Father, when I am confused, please provide me with individuals who can assist me in maintaining my faith until the confusion passes. Today, dear Father, I pray that You will use me to assist someone who is experiencing a crisis of faith. In Jesus' name, I ask. Amen.
