¹³And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

¹⁴Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Devotional Reflection

We can't speak for everyone in our family, but we can promise to do what everyone should want: serve the Lord. But let's do more than just say we'll do it. Let's show others how to do it. "Today, I will serve the Lord!" We can then ask them to come with us.

Prayer

O gentle Shepherd, teach me how to make my family love You more. Bless my parents and accept my gratitude for their faith. Please give me the fortitude and discernment I need to effectively communicate Your truth to my children. God, bless those parents who are trying to raise godly kids who will eventually marry the kids You gave me. You should feel recognized, honored, and loved in my home. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
